Gentlemen:

It gives me great pleasure to submit the following report on the property selected form your golf course:

The ground and location are ideally suited to the purpose. The undulation of the land, the drainage and the character of the soil are all that could be wished. With all of these natural advantages, I found it possible to lay out an 18 hole course that, when completed, will be second to none. Each and every hole will be a test of skill for the best of players, and, yet, it will not be a course that will be severe on the beginner. This is made possible by leaving out all hazards except those that will test the skill of the advanced golfer.

Your course should be an extremely popular one on that account. I was able to arrange an ideal assortment of hole lengths into which the undulation of the land is fitted perfectly. In each nine, there are short holes of varying lengths which will bring into use the short, medium and long approach clubs. There will be many chances for the long hitters to use the brassie. The advanced player will be called upon to use every club in his bag and those who play the course regularly will have to learn to play every shot in the game.
